Wood County Parks & Forestry would like to announce the opening of the Powers Bluff Welcome Center. This shelter building, located at 7073 County Highway N in Arpin, will serve as the trailhead to Powers Bluff County Parks’ multi-use and single-track bike trails.

Day users are invited to use the open shelter area with picnic tables, serving counter, water fountain, bike wash station and access to indoor restrooms.

The enclosed shelter will be open for reservations beginning September 11th, 2026. Reservations can be made up to 1 year in advance. The shelter has a capacity of 224 people and sits 120 comfortably. With a furnace, A/C and electric fireplace, the shelter is available for year-round rentals. Please see our website for further details.

We will begin taking online reservations for the Powers Bluff Welcome Center beginning Friday, August 28, 2026, at 7:00am. Reservations can also be made over the phone or in person beginning Friday at our main Parks & Forestry office during normal business hours, Monday through Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm.
