Each year the Wood County Land & Water Conservation Department hosts an annual poster contest, which is part of a state and national initiative where local winners proceed to the area contest, area contest winners move forward to the state contest, and state contest winners move on to the national contest hosted by the National Association of Conservation Districts. This year's theme was "Home is Where the Habitat Is".
