Environmental Education is alive and well at the Wood County Land & Water Conservation Department. Many projects are held at area schools throughout the year. The WI
Land+Water’s Youth Education Committee coordinates the Conservation Poster & Speaking Contest, conservation camps, and the Envirothon.
If you’re interested in learning about aquatic invasive species and/or would like a presentation at your school or event, contact Kendra, Conservation Specialist, at

research a conservation-related topic and perform a speech on it. Winners receive an award and advance to area and possibly
state competition.
Conservation Poster Contest
Each year we sponsor a Conservation Poster Contest. Students in grades K-12 can participate. The contest offers an opportunity
to create individual artwork based on a conservation theme. Winners receive an award and posters advance to area and possibly
