Wood County Human Services is the lead agency of the Northern Income Maintenance Consortium, which is a partnership of twelve counties including
Ashland, Bayfield, Florence, Forest, Iron, Lincoln, Price, Rusk, Sawyer, Taylor, and Vilas. The consortium's mission is to work together to
provide services that enhance the quality of life. It provides public assistance administration of FoodShare (SNAP), State Medicaid Programs,
and Childcare Assistance.
The consortium provides comprehensive public assistance services to those living within each county. Regardless of where a member lives within
the consortium, they can contact the Northern IM Call Center to apply for benefits, report changes to cases, check benefits, process eligibility,
complete reviews, or ask general questions.
The Northern Income Maintenance Consortium call center number is 888-794-5722. The hours are from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Wednesday,
and 11:00 am – 4:00 pm on Thursday, and 8:00am-2:00pm on Friday. Local lobby services for Wood County residents are available at the River Block
Building (in Wisconsin Rapids) and Patriot’s Tower (in Marshfield) from 8:00 am – 4:30 pm Monday through Friday.
Members that need to send in verification items for their IM case can do so by the following ways:
- Uploading on their Access account (View YouTube instructional video)
- Faxing it to the CDPU at 855-293-1822
- Mailing it to the CDPU at PO BOX 5234, Janesville, WI 53547-5234
- Dropping it off at the local county IM agency
