The Deflection Initiatives mission is to identify and deflect at-risk populations to treatment and behavioral health services prior to a crisis, overdose, or new criminal activity. The aim of deflection programming is to connect individuals to systems of care at the earliest point possible, while attempting to provide the necessary resources and skills to improve outcomes and reduce recidivism.

Services

• Three Bridges Recovery
  • Access to Peer-Support Specialists and Recovery Coaches
• Mental Health & AODA Treatment
  • Referrals for Assessment, Treatment, and Services
• Case Management
  • Assistance with referrals/applications, including housing, recovery programs, and community services
  • Support goal-setting and accountability
  • Maintain consistent contact with program participants and all involved providers to support success

Eligibility

To participate, a person must:

• Be a Wood County resident
• Be 18+ years of age (and not in high school)
• Have a substance use or related need
• Be willing to obtain treatment and services, and wish to participate in the program

To be eligible for the Officer Intervention Pathway, individuals must:

• Be a Wood County resident
• Be 18+ years of age (and not in high school)
• Be low to medium risk
• Have a substance use or related need
• Have committed an offense that corresponds with an eligible statute in Wood County
• Have consent from the victim if offense was committed against another individual
• Be willing to obtain treatment and services, and wish to participate in the program
